What is a Pin?

A Pin is an image added to Pinterest

This is a Pin

A pin can be added from a website

Using the pin it button

Or you can upload your own pins (images)

Click Upload a Pin

What does the Pin it button do?

The Pin it button lets you grab an image from any website

…and add it to one of your Pin boards

To install the pin it button

Click the arrow to see dropdown menu

Click Pin It Button

Click the “Pin It” Button

And drag it on to your browser’s toolbar

The Pinterest Pin It button is now installed in your browser

What is a Pin board?

A Pin board or simply board is a collection or set of pins

These are pin boards

Lets open one of the boards. Ex. Cool photography

In this board you can see collection of pins/photos

You can also see tips about photography

Here you can see how many followers you have

As well as the number of pins you have

A pin board can be created on any topic

It could be about your dream home design

Your bucket list

If you saw something you like in a website

And wish to add it in Pinterest

Just click on the “Pint It” button in your browser

Hover over the image you want to pin

And click pin it

This window will appear

Click on the drop down arrow

And choose to which board to pin

Or if you want a new pin board exclusively

for this

Click Create New Board

Enter the name of your new pin board

And click create

When done, click the “Pin It” button

Your pin was successfully pinned to your board

Click See your Pin

Here is your pin

What is “Following”?

You can follow all pin boards of a Pinterest

user

Or just some of their boards that is of

your interest

Example: If you want to follow this person’s board

Click on Follow All

Now if you want to follow just a specific board

Click Follow located at the bottom of the board

What is a Repin?

Repinning is adding someone’s pin on to your own board/s

Example: your browsing through Pinterest

And found an image you like

And you want to repin it to your

board

Hover over the pin

And click Repin

Select the Pin Board

And Pin It

How to Pin Videos in Pinterest?

To pin a Video you found in the Internet,

Click on the “Pin It” button

Hover over the video

And click on Pin it

Select Pin Board Category

And Pin It

Video was successfully pinned

To add a price ribbon in your pin/s , click Edit

Click on the beginning of the Description

Enter the amount

And Save Pin

Your pin has now a price ribbon at the the upper corner
