Dropped kerb survey - issues

• No labelling in Collector• Problems syncing large amounts of data:

– Had to change the camera settings to produce smaller photos

• Problems downloading data to work offline when the features had geometry errors:– Fixed geometry errors on reference dataset (survey

phase dataset)

17

Dropped kerbs – what next?

• Data to be added and maintained in Roads Services asset management system

• Analysis of survey to prioritise improvements• Once identified, improvements will tie in with:

– Smaller streetworks– Bigger capital renewal schemes

18

Summary

• Collector quick and easy to configure• Collector has proved very useful so far:

– Presentation seats system working well– Identified savings for grounds maintenance project

• Dropped kerb survey successful so far:– Collector worked well gathering the data– Enabled cheaper project costs– Will provide better accessibility in the future

• More internal promotion required
