! IMIA is not just about medicalinformatics; its interests, and those of its members, encompass the many disciplines within health informatics, nursing informatics, consumerinformatics and related areas, includingbioinformatics, which are being explored.

MEDICAL OR HEALTH INFORMATICS?

! The use of ‘medical informatics’ in the namereflects the history of the organization, and the different meanings the term has had indifferent countries (in some, it is synonymouswith health informatics, in others, it is seen as a subset). It is possible that, given wider changes, we may need to explore changing, or clarifying, the name.

! Berawal dari organisasi International Federation of Information Processing(IFIP) membentuk Komite Teknikal 4 (TC4) yang berfokus pada komputerisasi bidang-bidang yang berhubungan dengan kesehatan (health-related computing).
