• I would regard myself as a brave and courageous woman. At the age of 37, I would say that I already have my own share of sufferings in life. I learned that when you are faced with obstacles in life, you don’t stop and let yourself be paralyzed with fear and doubt but instead you move forward while keeping your faith as armor.

• When in misery, I choose to laugh and live life to the fullest!

I keep myself grounded and steady through affirmations. My favorite is the Optimist’s Creed by

Cristian D. Larson.

The Optimist’s Creed

I promise myself…To be so strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind.To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person I meet.To make all my friends feel that there is something special in them.To look at the sunny side of everything and make my optimism come true.To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own.To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature I meet with a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of myself that I have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

The Lesson of the Optimist’s Creed• The seventh point of The Optimist Creed — forget the

mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future — is the most helpful for me. I am an active person. I am always looking for new and better ways to do my work and get across my message. I try new things all the time. Some of the things I try don’t work out as I planned and hoped. I treat these failures as learning experiences. I use them to help me to create greater achievements in the future.

The Lesson of the Optimist’s Creed• Embrace your mistakes and failures. Learn from them. Treating

your mistakes and failures as learning opportunities is a great way to reach professional success.

The Lesson of the Optimist’s Creed• Successful people are self confident. Self confident people are

optimists. They believe that today will be better than yesterday and that tomorrow will be better today.
