•William N. Kelley serves as a professor of medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. An accomplished physician known for his breakthrough work on in-vivo gene therapy, William N. Kelley is an honorary fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI).

•Founded in 1654, RCPI is a prestigious medical organization that aims to equip health care professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide their patients with the best care possible. To this end, RCPI offers a variety of educational courses, including the one-day seminar Delivering Bad News, which will be held at 6 Kildare St. in Dublin in March.

•Aiming to enhance health care professionals’ skills in communicating difficult situations or breaking bad news to patients and their families, the course covers topics like active listening, guidelines for sharing bad news, and the impact of communications, as well as dealing with questions and violent reactions. RCPI offers this course for free to all its members and fellows, while non-members must pay either €50 or €75 for doctors and health care professionals, respectively.
