Transforming business through work health and safety

Have you ever wondered why people do the things they do and don’t think anything of it? or

How you as a safety professional can really make a difference in the workplace.

Gone are the days of a safety professional’s job being that of the safety police or the ‘go to person’ for

compliance. As a modern day safety professional we need to wear many hats, we must be a subject

matter expert, a change agent, a coach, a mentor, a negotiator, a leader, the list goes on because we also

need to add value to the business and stay at the forefront of innovation. Safety has truly evolved over

the years and now more than ever we are starting to look at why people do the things they do in order to

find a solution. Then we need to ‘sell’ that solution, we need to get engagement, buy in etc. etc. How do

we do this?......Coaching.

Utilising the principles of neuroscience, modern psychology, mindfulness and other transformational

methodologies, this one day interactive, informative and engaging Coaching Skills for Safety

Professionals workshop aims to develop participants skills by equipping them with the knowledge, core

skills and tools they need to understand how the brain works, how peoples thinking and attitudes drive

their behaviour and how they can become a great safety coach and engage in effective safety

conversations with senior and middle management, supervisors and team leaders, workers and peers by

applying a coaching approach to those interactions.

This workshop develops skills that can be applied immediately. Participants will learn the art and science

of coaching with intent and authenticity. They will learn the who, the what, the when, the why and the how

of coaching and will have ample opportunity to practice those new skills in a ‘safe’ and ‘supportive’

learning environment.

Why this workshop?

With so many programs on the market, why choose this one?.....the answer is simple.

This workshop has been designed and developed by industry experts who have extensive operational

and safety backgrounds as well. They have been exactly where you are. They understand where you

are coming from and they understand your challenges. In short, they get it and they get you. That’s why

they have worked tirelessly to develop this program with you, the participants in mind.

Based on adult learning principles, this interactive, informative and engaging workshop contains the

latest brain based behavioural coaching techniques and applies them to improving safety in any

organisation which in turn improves business. The ultimate outcome is an engaged workforce that

takes ownership for safety and a productive, sustainable zero harm work environment.

The program has been trialed, tested and tweaked and we couldn’t be happier with the results. So

confident are we in this program, that if after you have completed the workshop you don’t believe it has

Building better business through work health and safety

Workshop Facilitator Deanne Boules

Deanne is an dynamic, insightful and accomplished WHS

professional, speaker, facilitator and coach with extensive

experience and expertise in workplace health and safety and a

passion for building pro-active, productive safety cultures through the

application of the principles of modern psychology, neuroleadership, mindfulness and other

transformational methodologies to gain acceptance and achieve positive change in an organisations

safety culture.

A former NSW Police Officer, Work Cover NSW Inspector & Senior WHS Executive for a number of

iconic Australian and Global companies prior to starting Insync Workplace Solutions in 2012.

Deanne has experienced first hand the devastating impact of safety gone wrong and seen the

incredible benefits when done right and its not all about having the right policies and procedures in

place. Yes they are extremely important but on their own they don’t stop people from being injured at

work. What will stop people from being injured at work is a positive safety culture where everyone is

accountable and takes responsibility for their actions.

Deanne works with organisations and individuals providing them with an insight into how the brain

works & how people’s thinking and attitudes drive behaviour. She is an engaging, credible and

extremely knowledgeable facilitator and coach who challenges the way people think, motivates

senior executives, mid-level mangers and supervisors to be more visible and proactively lead safety

in the workplace and empowers workers to take control of their own personal safety with the ultimate

goal being to create sustainable awareness and capability across the organisation.
