on the skin or be found in clothes or in the food you eat and in the water you drink.

TAKING PRECAUTIONS helps:

1. To avoid accidents. 2. To prevent poisoning.

3. To reduce the possibility of infections.

4. To get better if you become ill.

SOCIALISING SOCIALISING, or being friendly with

people, helps prevent anxiety and enables you to see different points of view

HEALTH EDUCATION consists of learning experiences and habits designed to help you stay healthy, prevent illnesses and help you react properly.

• Health practitioners and professionals, hospitals, health centres… are all required to help people be healthy.

• They help with: • Vaccination campaigns• Health information• Regular health check-ups• Emergency services

Vaccines are provided by health centers to prevent infectious illnesses such as chickenpox, smallpox, tetanus, polio, influenza.

• You can get advice on hygiene habits, warnings about the consequences of drugs and alcohol and information on first aid and medicines.

Check-ups are carried out at health centers, schools, workplaces or hospitals.

They travel to the scene of accidents or natural disasters.

They provide medical care, transport the sick or injured to hospital.
