MONA DE PASQUA(EASTER CAKE)

What is it?• It is a round sponge cake. • There are different kind of flavours. Like, chocolate, cream, butter, etc…•We can decorate with different objects or food, for example, plumes, fruit. • You can present with a chocolate figure.• Some people are original and give a cake made of sweets and candies.

• Easter Eggs and Easter bunnies

• Sugar-coated fruit.• Chocolate Figure• Chocolate Sauce• Icing sugar• Jam• Butter• Almonds

Ingredients

• Oven• Hand

blender• Bowl• Wood spoon• Mauled

Tools

• We prepare the ingredients and we make the sponge cake. We cook the cake in the oven.

• When the cake is cold, we open and we spread the jam or the chocolate. We close the cake.

• We spread the chocolate or the butter on all the cake.

• We decorate with plumes.

Elaboration Easter Cake

Tradition• Godfathers and Godmothers give the

Mona to their Godsons or Goddaughters.

• We eat the Mona on Easter Monday.

• We celebrate Easter Monday with family or friends, going to the mountain, to a country house, to the beach, etc. We eat the cake there.

• Years ago the Mona was made of the mass of “Coca” and boiled eggs on it.
