Week 5

Phoenix

We’re back in Silver Bend! I’m going to try to crank the Phoenix’s first update before the day is out. Which is tricky cause I have to go to work in an hour. Real life

aside, Charmeleon married Jimmy Phoenix and together they had Ryan. This house is tied for my smallest

household at the moment. The difference is that’s it’s going to stay that way, while Ani-Mei’s house is going to

get very full.

Mel picked out a lot across from her older sister Bulbsaur. “You better get to school Ryan.” She told the boy.

“Do I have to? Everyone else doesn’t have to go on their first day.”

“Listen to your mother Ryan.” Jimmy pitched in.Ryan sighed and trudged down the sidewalk to catch the bus

at Ivy’s house.

Their house was only one floor and a littlesmaller than the main legacy house on the

corner. It was definitely a fixer upper.

Once Ryan was on the bus, Jimmy and Mel got to work. Steve had mentioned odd handly that there was treasure buried all though the hills of Verde Valley. Some of it Steve buried himself.

Jimmy got bored with digging and found a job in the music industry. Leaving Mel digging by

herself. It wasn’t long before she scored, digging a massive treasure chest out of the

ground.

Jimmy came home with a promotion on his first day. He could now afford to buy beds for

the three of them.

There was scant light in the house, but Mel had Ryan do his homework anyways.

“Why does my teacher want to know what my favorite kind of fish is?” Ryan asked as he got to the bonus questions at the bottom of the

page.“That I don’t know dear.”

Ryan was a quiet self reliant child. They only has a mini fridge and he could get his own juice.

His teacher was quite happy with his favorite fish being a goldfish. She gave him a A on his

homework. “Why is there a pamphlet about goldfish in here?” Ryan said throwing the paper away,

“School is weird here.”

Mel had also joined the music career, it was a more consistent way to bring in money. She

got a promotion that afternoon.

She bought a TV as a reward for Ryan’s improving grades. She would need it later too,

if she wanted to become a game designer.

Her and Jimmy still took turns digging while Ryan slept. Mel found another chest right in

the front yard.

Ryan’s Wednesday report card finally contained the well deserved A he wanted.

Mel worked hard to improve her skills for promotion. Her and Jimmy both took turns

using their limited skilling objects.

Jimmy was also raking in promotions. He hoped to open his own restaurant soon. Likehis father in law, he wanted to be a celebritychef. The music career was just a stepping

stone to greater things.

Ryan brought Honey Sugar home from school that afternoon.

“This game is boring.” She complained after playing cops and robbers, “Let’s play Mary Mack.”

“I think my mom is calling me.” Ryan said quickly,Honey was fun to play with but Mary Mack was a

girl’s game.

He couldn’t sleep that night so he took advantage of the empty easel in the living

room while his parents slept.

Mel came home from work early the next day. Her boss had caught her playing video games on her lunch hour and fired her. She slammed the door shut. Jimmy was his boss, maybe he

would fire her unforgiving boss.

Ryan brought Emma Diem home from school instead of Honey.

“Want to play Cops and Robbers?” He asked.“Yes!” Emma said excitedly, “I’m the cop,

you’re the robber.”“You can’t catch me Copper!”

Saturday finally came around and they could making improvements on their house.

Mel and Jimmy focused their resources in the kitchen. After buying the gaming equipment

need for Mel to get her dream job. Jimmy couldn’t wait to start cooking in the kitchen.

But it was Mel who made the first meal of cereal. Jimmy overslept.

Mel looked for a opening as a button masher. With no luck, she did take a opening in the

business career.

“I bet you ten dollars that I can beat you.” Jimmy told his son as they tested out Mel’s new

game console.“I’ll take that bet.” Ryan agreed.

His dad went to work so Ryan called over Honey and Emma.

“Let’s play tag today.” He offered after she shut down cops and robbers.

“Okay!” Honey agreed, “You’re it!”

Mel stayed inside letting Ryan play with his friends. She had some skills to brush up on.

Jimmy came home with a promotion to Roadie. Netting him a full $5,000 made this week.

“Hey there handsome.” Mel said in a breezy voice to her husband.

“What’s a pretty thing like you doing in a place like this?” Jimmy grinned back.

Sunday morning Ryan woke up to his parents gone. He drank some juice and spent the

morning talking to his friends on the phone.

Then the nanny found him.“You must study your books young man, you’ll

never be able to support a family without practicing your lessons.” Callista said sitting on

the couch and turned the TV to a cooking channel.

“Umm, I’m ten.” Ryan said quietly.

Jimmy brought Pony home from work with him.“This is a nice place Jimmy, I see lots of

potiental.”“Thanks Pony!” Jimmy said heading inside, “Do

you want to stay for Ryan’s birthday?”“I sure do.” She agreed.

Ryan was inside enjoying his last few moments as a child.

A cake was purchased and candles were lit.“It’s time to make a wish, Ry.” Mel said putting

the matches away.“I wish that Honey liked cops and robbers.”

Ryan said wistfully.

“But I guess it’s okay if she doesn’t.” Ryan saidafter he grew up. Not to bad on the outfit if he had to say so. He wanted to have a large familyand have a golden anniversary with the woman

of his dreams.

He went to bed as a teenager eager to start high school the next morning. The clock ticked

over to midnight as his head hit the pillow.

I did it I managed to write this up in an hour. Thank goodness

the Phoenix house is small.My scoring is mixed up

somewhere, mainly how many households there are. Cause

apparently I can’t count. I’ll fix the scoresheet the beginning of next rotation. Everything else
