One step closer is a song made by Linkin park who are a rock group from America.The song was first known as plaster which was the demo to the song one step closer.This song is most famous for closing all of linkin parks concerts, except for the Live 8 one.

Why I think it is good

The group Linkin Park are known all over the world for being one of the greatest rock groups.I like the Linkin Park song because it has a guitar continuously playing throughout but the guitar sounds change from a hardcore rock to a rhythm guitar sound. I like this because it can be used to show different emotions such as a calm sunny day to a hard pouring rain which would sync good with the hardcore rock (example)

My proposal

The video im hoping to make will be set in various places one could be a foggy park which could be the negative thing ( an early morning)The good times could be set in another place such as New york which could be done with the green screen.Could be showing going from somewhere exciting such as times square to the foggy park which could show it was all just a dream.

Positive emotions

When the song calms down half way through this could be showing the change from sadness to happiness for example the sun coming up and could show someone's hangover going.

Also we could use the relaxed guitar rhythm and create a scene where something exciting is happening such as someone on a skateboard or BMX

Negative Emotions

When the guitar is playing at its loudest and fastest e.g. Rocking out hardcore…We could do something bad such as a fight scene or someone drunk struggling to stay awake and falls into the pavement.

Or we could have a scene where someone is being taken away by the police, something which would make a person angry.

So why should YOU choose this song?

I think that you would agree this song is not only lyrically good but also instrumentally good, it is a song which any teenager would listen to and they would also relate to the things which would be happening on the screen.Also because the sounds are repetitive we wouldn’t have to film and edit as much as you could have a long scene where as with a fast paced song you would have to change scene when the emotions change.
