Performance

Performance videos are the easiest, cheapest, and the most simple of music videos. They show the artist performing the song in front of a background. One example is Foo Fighters-The pretender.

Narrative

This type of music video tells a story which often includes the artist. It can either be related to the song or not. A song with a narrative music video is Calvin Harris ft. Example-We’ll be coming back.

Conceptual

These music videos are based on a concept or idea. They are hard to do and are mainly done by using editing and special FX. They are also more expensive to make. A Conceptual music video is Avicii-Levels.
