ARPANET goes online with their research in networking, commissioned by the US Department

of Defense

1971Email was invented by Ray Tomlinson

1973

Telnet and Internetworking Group (INWG) were created for freely and easily connection

1976Queen Elizabeth sends her first email.

1981

BITNET and CSNET were established for connections

1984

Domain Name System was created and the networks addresses were identified with

extensions

1985

electronic bulletin boards, news, emails, etc. were made by American Online

1990

ARPANET ceases to exist but different hosts continued the internet

1991

Gopher and WAIS (Wide Area Information Servers) made the internet modernized

1991

WWW or the World Wide Web was released by CERN

1992Multimedia entered the internet

1993

The White House and the UN began using the internet

1995

Java, Javascript, Active X or Mobile codes were made for more eye capturing details in the

internet

1999Wireless became possible
