Your collage will include…• A self portrait photo

• 3+ layered photographs - still life, landscape, etc.

• A texture or pattern photo

How Do I Take a Self Portrait?

SKETCHBOOK - Part 1:Start with a theme, brainstorm 5● Interests: things you like to do, places you like to be

(sports, music, nature, drawing...)● Memories: a significant event, memorable moment (a

vacation, an award, an event you attended)● Experiences: “my life as a….”

SKETCHBOOK - Part 2:Choose TWO Themes and Create TWO Concept Maps:For each concept map, add a minimum of 5 ideasfrom each of the following categories: 1.Objects - still life type subjects...2.Places - inside, outside, specific locations...3.Textures & Patterns - natural, manmade...4.Self Portrait Ideas

**Think about where the photos will be taken, composition, light, poses, expressions, props, etc.

Example:

PHOTOGRAPHINGShoot 40 images (minimum) based on your chosen theme and concept map.

YOU PHOTOGRAPHS MUST INCLUDE:● 10 objects

○ photos of same object or different objects● 10 places - outdoors/indoors● 10 textures/patterns● 10 self portraits

Your final collage should include:1. A self portrait2. 3+ layered photographs3. Texture or pattern

Your collage should include images from the new photos taken specifically for this assignment, but you may add additional photos you have taken in the past - personal images or images for this class.
