How to get children involved in this activity?

Start off by talking about each vegetable with the children

Sing/name words which relates to the vegetables

Make the children feel free to sense the vegetables

Let the children pick any vegetables they want to use for their salad

age of the children)

Fine motor: The children would pick up each vegetable, cut them (into their preferred sizes), and put them into the bowl and mix it.

Social: The children would share the information what veggie salad they made and how they made it. Besides, they can work together and interact each other

Language: The children would describe about their veggie salad and how they made it. They would also learn about different types of vegetables and kitchen equipments.

Cognitive: They would think how each vegetable taste like and how to use the kitchen equipments in order to make the salad (for cutting, mixing, and eating).
