Shah Wali-Ullah
His Complete Name was Syed Quṭb ad-Dīn Aḥmad Walī Allāh ibn ‘Abd ar-Raḥīm al-‘Umarī ad-Dihlawī
commonly known as Shah Waliullah Dehlawi, was an Islamic scholar, muhaddith and reformer.
He was born in 1703 during the reign of Emperor Aurengzeb
Early Life He memorized the Qur'an by seven. Soon thereafter, he mastered Arabic
and Persian letters. By sixteen he had completed the
standard curriculum of Hanfi law, theology, geometry, arithmetic and logic.
Work His deep understanding of the
Qur'an, Hadith, Fiqah and Tasawuf made him highly knowledgeable scholar at an early age.
He translated Arabic Qur'an into Persian.
Criticized by some Ullama. he tried to heal the division between Sectarian groups
He was died on 20 August 1762
His work remain very important as it was much beneficial for Muslims and Revived Islam in the Sub-Continent.
Haji Shariat-Ullah
Shariat-Ullah was born in 1781 His father, Abdul Jalil Talukdar, was a
farmer who was not very well off. In 1799, Haji Shariat-Ullah travelled
to Arabia. He stayed there until 1818 and got his religious education.
Work
He started Faraizi movement to restore the Pride of the Muslims and remove what he thought were the Hindu practices.
Emphasis was placed on praying for past sins and promising to lead a righteous life in the future which had crept into their worship.
His Belief was very clear That’s why his Movement was much successful and was spread on vast area.
He wasd died in 1840 Dacca, British India(now in Bangladesh)
Syed Ahmed Barelvi
He was born in 29 Nov 1676 He was mainly influenced by Shah
Abdul Aziz, (son of Shah Waliullah). He got primary ideological teachings
from Shah Abdul Aziz in Delhi. At the age of twenty-five, Ahmad
joined a militia as a cavalry man.
Work In 1821 He went for Hajj and returned from
Arabia in 1823 ready for action. After hajj, he traveled many hundred miles
to raise a mujahideen force. He was a successful military leader and the
mujahideen force soon reached 80,000 men. This moment of religiously inspired unity
attracted the allegiance of maliks, shareholders and even the governors of Peshawar.
He died on 6 May 1831 (aged 44)Balakot, Mansehra, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
During last years of his life, his supporters designated him an Amir al-Mu'minin ("Commander of the Believers"), and Shaheed ("martyr") after his death in the Battle of Balakot in 1831.
His work was also well known and much successful for Muslims in Sub-Continent.
