Create and define your online presence. Start registering with online communities that interest you to demonstrate initiative to your potential employer.

Your resume should remain the same for each internship you apply to. Have it checked by Ania or the careers team first.

Design a cover letter template that you can use and adapt differently to each application.

For each application, the job spec and requirements will be different. Therefore, you need to ensure you have mentioned how fantastic you are at those required skills within your amended cover letter.

THE INTERVIEW

1. Research the company.

2. Dress to impress.

3. Make a good first impression.

4. Internship interviews are generally quite relaxed and informal.

5. If possible, carry out some research on the individuals who you think might be interviewing you. Get to know them.

MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR INTERNSHIP

RECOMMENDATIONS

2. Keep a log book of all the applications you submit.

3. Keep your choices open, don’t pin your hopes down on one position.

4. Consider the distance it could take to commute if you got the job.

5. Have fun! It’s a brilliant opportunity.
