County Monaghan is part of the border region and is in the province of Ulster.

The county consists of 21 different towns/villages. The 5 largest include Monaghan, Clones, Carrickmacross , Ballybay and Castleblaney.

MONAGHAN TOURISM

Lough Muckno Lesiure Park is in the town of Castleblaney, Co. Monaghan. The park has many facilities including a Waterski & Wakeboarding Club, Fishing, Nature Walks/trails and Picnic area. The park is open all year round.

An Poc Fada is Monaghan’s premier venue for live music! Enjoy top live bands and DJ’s every weekend. An Poc Fada is acclaimed for its’ famous Sunday night live music. It remains Monaghan’s favourite venue to hear rock and blues live on stage.
