County Monaghan is part of the border region and is in the province of Ulster.

The county consists of 21 different towns/villages. The 5 largest include Monaghan, Clones, Carrickmacross , Ballybay and Castleblaney.

Lough Muckno Lesiure Park is in the town of Castleblaney, Co. Monaghan. The park has many facilities including a Waterski & Wakeboarding Club, Fishing, Nature Walks/trails and Picnic area. The park is open all year round.
