How to Teach English Grammar to Adults

Grammar is an important subject for any student. Adults who do not know grammar, or who need a refresher, have different learning styles than children.

Types of activity:

1)Use a textbook that has several different elements of grammar, including written and spoken grammar.

2)Choose a topic for each class meeting.

3)Have conversations each time your class meets.

4)Create both oral and written lessons, quizzes and exams.

Through preparation and repetition, you successfully can teach an adult English grammar.

Other types of activity:1)Assess your student's current skills

in order to understand areas that need improvement.

2) Prepare appropriate lessons that are organized logically and address your student's personal goals and weak areas.

3) Challenge your students.
