PURPOSE

Use Glogster EDU to create interactive, book-response posters

Students will work in groups to create a poster based on the Roald Dahl book which their group has just finished reading

Posters will include multimedia elements such as audio, video, text, hyperlinks, and images.

WHAT IS GLOGSTER EDU?

Glogs are interactive posters which can contain many multimedia elements including: text, audio, video, images, graphics, drawings, and data.

Students can include information about Roald Dahl using text, video, audio or hyperlinks to 3 informative websites.

Images shown on next 5 slides are from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Glog and are used as examples for students during lesson

ADDING OTHER PICTURES

Students will include a picture of their book cover, and at least one other related picture

ADD A FAVORITE QUOTE OR PASSAGE FROM BOOKS

Can also include audio file of student(s) reading favorite quote or passage

ADD A COMMENT

When all groups have completed their Glogs, each student will write a positive comment or a question about the book on each groups’ Glog. Teacher will also post questions on each group’s Glog.

Follow up- each group will respond to questions posted on their Glog.
