Defining Distance Education‘a term that covers the various forms of study at all levels which are not under the continuous immediate supervision of tutors present with their students in lecture rooms, but which, benefit from the planning, guidance and tuition of a tutorial organisation’ (Holmberg, 1977, p. 9).

Defining Distance Education

What is distance education or distance learning?Wikipedia defines D-Learning as a mode of delivering education and instruction, often on an individual basis, to students who are not physically present in a traditional setting such as a classroom. Distance learning provides "access to learning when the source of information and the learners are separated by time and distance.

Distance education vs.

Distance learning Education distance is formal process which aims to redesign and deliver materials, knowledge, values to student who are not physically in traditional classroom by using technology. On other hand, learning distance is informal process which is a part of Education distance.
