Relationship between lyrics and the visuals!• All of beyonces videos include a lot of

dance routine, this video isn't so much a dance routine but includes some sort of dance throughout the video.

• The video was directed by Melina matsouskas who also directed the video for Rihannas song “rude boy”

• Throughout the video all of the shots are on beyonce and her sexualised movements. The video links in with the song but it doesn't have a storyline.

• All of the camera shots are at the attention of beyonce and they have include lots of close ups and long shots to show the full image of her.

• The shots are cut quickly and the camera zooms in and pans in with her every movement.

There is a strong relationship between the lyrics in the visual. In the beginning of the song the text flashes up with the title of the song “ why don’t you love me” also there is a part where she walks around with a sign in her hand saying “ why don’t you love me” This may be also part of her star persona and may express what is actually going on within her own personal life.
