Highlights of Future President's Team Retreat

The Asia Pacific Future President’s Team Retreat was held from October 15th to 17th at the Centara Grand Hotel in Bangkok for 1,500 leaders from all over the region.
The Retreat kicked off with a 5K Fun Run and Walk around Lumpini Park for 600 of our Distributors. The early-morning workout was followed by more tours and activities around Bangkok. While some Distributors chose to hop on a leisurely cruise along the Chao Phraya river, some of them tried their hands at Thai cooking at the Naj Thai Cooking School. Yet others chose to explore the grand palaces and temples in Bangkok and the historic Chinatown.
With their minds refreshed from the previous day, Distributors then got down to work for two days of classroom training. Special Guest Speaker Chairman's Club Member Guillermo Luna shared
with attendees some tips on building their organization and goal-setting, while Chairman's Club Member Juan Miguel Mendoza gave advice on the cycles of leadership and building momentum for your business. Other President’s Team, Chairman’s Club and Founder’s Circle speakers also shared their stories and lessons on financial management and business advancement.
Former Olympian and current Director of Worldwide Fitness Education Samantha Clayton also made a special appearance, sharing with the crowd her experience as a “product of the product”.
We are confident that the three days have provided all our attendees with valuable lessons and extra motivation to help them grow their businesses further!
From October 18th to 20th 2013, the city of Bangkok, Thailand, played host to the first-ever Asia Pacific Active World Team University. Over 7,500 Distributors from 14 Asia Pacific countries joined in for three days of training conducted by a number of inspirational leaders from the region. The event, themed Think Big! Be Proud! 2-2-1!, served to remind everyone of their past success in achieving 1-1-1, and also to motivate all to work towards attaining 2-2-1, a new goal for Asia Pacific.
Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Herbalife Asia Pacific Mr. Bill Rahn gave a message on the importance of Active World Team members in contributing to the region’s growth, and re-emphasized the five key strategies that have been pivotal to the region’s success – daily consumption, distributor recruiting, systematized training, regionalization and leadership development.
Special Guest Speaker Chairman's Club Member Guillermo Luna also took the stage to share with audiences his life story and his progression to Chairman's Club, handing out advice on leadership and income management. Other topics included goal-setting, downline retention, growing your business, as well as ethics.
In between training sessions, participants had the opportunity to refuel at the Herbalife Shake Bar, which sold Formula 1 shakes for benefit of the Herbalife Family Foundation, visit exhibits at the Sports Zone, where they could learn more about some of Asia Pacific's top Herbalife-sponsored athletes and teams, or pen down their requalification goals at the Requalification Booth. Many also seized the chance to get their hands on some exclusive Herbalife-branded items from the Herbalife Store.
The 2013 Active World Team University was wrapped up with a sneak peek at next year's Herbalife Honors in Hawaii, and open to all President’s Team members and all Fully Qualified Supervisors who achieve a minimum of 7,500 Royalty Override Points in one calendar month from March 2013 through January 2014.
We have been thrilled by the amazing energy levels coming from Distributors throughout the three days, and are excited for attendees to return home and share with their organisations, and put into practice, everything that they have learned!

Hi Everyone,
Thank you all for everything you do to help the people of Asia Pacific with their health and nutrition. In this November issue of Herbalife Hub I hope you will all consider the good you do in your countries and in your many communities.
On the business side, you all had an amazing October. We had the first ever Active World Team University in Bangkok with over 7,500 attendees. Also in Bangkok we held the Future President’s Team Retreat for 1,500 of our regional leaders. This has led to incredible training to help our leaders develop advanced trainings for all of you. I hope you all attend the meetings and trainings, they will help you in your business and help to educate your organisations on best practices and the ever important ethics training.
Also in Asia Pacific, on November 1st we opened our 15th market – Cambodia. Over 450 International Trainers visited Cambodia and most of them from APAC – Australia, Taiwan, Malaysia, Korea, India, Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand gathered in the capital Phnom Penh to help us open the market. There are over 15 million people living in Cambodia and we are so excited to have Herbalife there. Our new General Manager Thang Bui Quoc and his great Herbalife Team will work together with the new Distributors to deliver great nutrition to the Cambodia people.
Finally, we’ve had great response to the Herbalife Reward Promotion. You have 3 months to earn certain volume points or accumulated volume points from October to December. It looks like many of you will be wearing a new watch or writing with a Mont Blanc pen in the future!

Q & A WITH DAREN LIEWGet to know how this rising star in the Malaysian badminton squad incorporates a healthy diet into his training and nutritional needs.1 How important are supplements to your? Supplements are really crucial because they help provide me
with nutrients that I lack in my regular food intake. On top of this, when it comes to physical activities and working out, the likes of Herbalife products help prolong energy levels throughout exercise.
2 What should be the dietary focus of a badminton player such as yourself?
The best diet plan for a badminton player would be a lot carbohydrates and less fat intake.
3 What is your food philosophy? I am quite a big eater, and I can have up to four regular meals a
day.
4 What do you usually eat before and/or after you exercise? Typically before I begin my training, I would have a light meal and
post-workout. I tend to take more carbohydrates to replenish whatever energy that I’ve used up during my exercise.
5 What is a bad eatings habit that you have or had? What food can’t you resist?
Unfortunately, I have a bad habit of indulging in too much oily food, while neglecting to have fruits sometimes.
6 How do you counteract these negative habits? I try to make sure that I consume a balanced intake of meat and
vegetables at every meal.
7 What is the significance of supplements in your diet? I believe food supplements are really crucial because they provide
the nutrients that I lack in my regular meals.

Herbalife was at the Halfest 2013, one of Malaysia’s largest Halal consumer expo, which was held from 2-6 October 2013 at the Malaysia International Exhibition & Convention Center, Kuala Lumpur. It was a great opportunity for Herbalife to promote its halal consumables and to make inroads into the vast potential Muslim market. Visitors to the fair had a great time checking out the halal consumables and non-consumable products at more than 600 booths at the fair.
Herbalife participated in the Yoga in the Sky event held at Stratosphere@The Roof, in Bandar Utama on 12 October 2013. It was a wonderful experience and a rare opportunity for yoga enthusiasts to practise yoga with Tara Stiles, the Reebok Yoga Ambassador. The participants did their yoga atop the helipad with a spectacular view of the city. Participants were treated to refreshments of delicious Herbalife shakes and Tea Mix at its booth.

6 Tips to Help You Get Your Beauty Sleep
Here are a few quick tips to help you unwind and drift off into dream land for a good 8 hours of beauty rest.
ExerciseExercise will help keep stress hormones from interfering with our sleep. Even if you only have 20 minutes to take a brisk walk, do it! It will definitely help you sleep better at night.
Don’t eat too late in the dayTry not to over-indulge just before bedtime. Large meals late in the day lead to an active digestive system that can definitely disrupt your sleep. And avoid caffeine. Coffee, non-herbal teas, some soda, chocolate; all can contain caffeine – a stimulant that can definitely keep us awake much longer then we would like. Try to avoid caffeine at least 4 hours before bedtime. Instead opt for a nice chamomile tea which is perfect for bedtime.
Use your bed for sleepIt's time to turn off the TV, put down the electronic games and close that laptop. Our beds are for sleeping not for working. If we use our bed for sleep and not as a substitute couch, we will definitely reduce the risk of developing sleep disorders.
A cozy bedroom is keyMy bedroom is my favourite room in the house. It’s comfy, it’s cozy, and it’s calm. The three main things we all need for a night of pure beauty sleep. Be sure your bedroom lighting doesn’t resemble interrogation lighting by keeping it soft. Do what you can to eliminate excess noise and keep the temperature at around 68ºF or 20ºC if you can. A bedroom that is too hot or too cold will result in a lot of tossing and turning during the night.
Develop a beauty ritualConsistency is key when it comes to a good night’s sleep. If possible, try to go to bed around the same time every night and wake up at the same time every morning. Take a relaxing bath; listen to some music, read your favorite magazine. Choose stress-free activities that will encourage relaxation. Scary movies at bedtime … not a good thing.
Get it all outOne thing that helps me out tremendously is writing things down. Sounds silly but if I can make a to-do list, vent my frustrations or simply journal about my day, I can definitely sleep better at night. Take the thoughts from the brain to a notebook and you don’t lie awake thinking about all of the things you forgot to do or wish you had done. Clear the head to make way for some sweet dreams.
Why nothing should come between you and your beauty sleepRemember, it’s when we’re sleeping that our body repairs itself. Our bodies work all through the night to help heal our cells and this directly affects the overall health and appearance of our skin. If we don’t get enough sleep then our fine lines and wrinkles appear more noticeable, we wake up with dark circles and under-eye puffiness, and our complexion looks pale and dull. We also wake up cranky. When we’re cranky we don’t tend to smile very much and, trust me, a fabulous smile can take years off of our appearance.

The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) Carnival was held at Centara Grand, at the Asia Pacific Future President's Team Retreat on October 17th. The 800 Distributors who joined us at the Carnival were treated to an evening of cabaret dance performances, fun games such as Balloon Darts, Rifle Shooting, Arrow Shooting, and Rodeo bull riding, as well as some exciting live and silent charity auctions!
Through the generosity of everyone who purchased tickets or bade in auctions, more than US$410,000 was raised for charity, making it one of the most successful HFF fundraising events ever! Proceeds from the Carnival will be used for helping the 5,000 Casa Herbalife children in Asia Pacific!
