You will need to sign up for a Xilinx account, be sure to use Web Installer for appropriate platform.

Select Vivado at top, and go to the archives left and pick the 2016.1 version.

The web installer should be the first option,

Once you have downloaded the installer, you will have to log in to your Xilinx account to install.

And follow through the screens exactly as done here,

Select Vivado HL Design Edition.

You can remove the UltiScale and Ultiscale+ options to save some hard drive space, the install will be

approximately 32GB with those removed.

Choose destination and begin installation of Vivado tools.

You know the software is installing when you see this (it takes some time ),

**CONNECT TO VPN ANY TIME YOU WISH TO UTILIZE THE SOFTWARE NOT ON THE UMBC NETWORK**

Visit vpn.umbc.edu, and download the Pulse Secure application following the menus below.

Once you have installed Pulse, and are connected to the UMBC VPN, open the Vivado License manager,

and click on the Manage License Search Paths option. Insert the path given in class to BOTH locations.

licenses or with installation.
