About the Workshop

Urban Sketching, where artist practices on-location sketching, is a new worldwide phenomenon and growing

rapidly. Urban Sketchers Hong Kong (USKHK 速寫香港) https://www.facebook.com/groups/USKHK is a

group who draw the cities we live in and visiting on tour – from the window of their homes, in a café, at a park,

standing by a street corner or wherever – on location always and

definitely ‘live’.

We, as engineers in Hong Kong, shall draw plans, sections and

details by pens and scale rulers. During the workshop Mr. Alvin

Wong, the co-founder of USKHK, will teach us another way of

sketching, such us different types of perspective drawings,

thumbnail sketching, playing with light and shadows, etc.

Learning the ways how architects sketch will definitely help us

on idea sharing with your project partners.

Please bring few pages of blank paper or sketchbook and a pencil to the workshop.
