WhoThe World’s Biggest Walk concept was presented at the 2007 World

Transplant Games in Bangkok by Sophie Morell to the team mangers

for representing member countries of the World Transplant Games

Federation.

Within 48 hours over 10 countries had expressed interest in

participating in this free global event. Subsequently over the next

couple of months the event grew bigger than expected.

The World’s Biggest Walk is the only event of its kind in the world. It

has been developed to link communities across the world to raise

awareness for organ/tissue donation and transplantation. This annual

experience is the only global event that knows no borders, no

stateliness' and has one vision.

The World Biggest Walk is not a fundraiser. This is a global awareness

walk. Being part of a life changing event will make a difference to

someone’s life. A life of someone you may not even know.

WhatTo raise global awareness for organ / tissue

donation & transplantation by walking 5km

at exactly the same time across 5

continents around the world.
