Who am I? Here are 6 clues…1. I was born in Sussex in 1954

2. I did very badly at school

3. I failed my 11 plus and went to Secondary Modern School

4. I remember a teacher bawling me out for doing a story in a way she hadn't ordered

5. I eventually got job as a journalist with the local newspaper

6. I had decided that I really wanted to write and that no other career would do.
