D I N N E R
The Whiskey and Cigar dinner was an evening full of incredible drinks, delicious food and
great cigars. This event was put on by our Food and Beverage Director, Andrew Niemeyer.
It was a reservation only event located on the deck of Arrowhead Yacht Club. The dinner
was a four course meal that began with a social hour. Guests showed up to multiple options
of light hors d'oeuvres and were offered a drink of choice. Niemeyer had carefully chosen a
hand-crafted drink to compliment each course for the evening. Guests had the opportunity
to walk around and visit before sitting down at a formal table on the deck. The dinner
started with a salad, followed by a pasta, then an entree and ended with a dessert.
Because the dinner was such a success, Niemeyer is planning to hold similar events in the
near future.
Meredith Lucus and Mallory Thompson, two interns, were sent to cover the event in detail
to provide insight to guests who weren't able to attend.
"This was one of my favorite events to cover", Thompson said. "It was easy to take pictures
because everything was set up so nicely. Everyone was enjoying themselves and having a
good time, so that makes capturing those moments really easy".
Lucus covered the event later into the night, giving her the opportunity to experience each
of the courses in more detail.
"It was some of the best food I have ever eaten. The plating of each course was beautiful",
Lucus said. "Mark did an outstanding job on each course. I will be the first to let everyone
know that you do not want to miss the next event."
