8. Avoid long pauses

Be confident Don’t babble, but continue speaking

9. Don’t curse or make jokes that make people feel awkward You might think it will make your

audience feel comfortable, but you are wrong

Curse words are more jarring in speeches than in casual conversation

10. Don’t end speeches/answers/presentations with…

“So…there you go.” “So…yeah.” “Kay, bye.”
