What are the Major Organs?

ByBriana Walker

Brain

The brain is the control system for the body. It regulates our nervous system, as well as our thoughts.

Lungs

The lungs take in air and add oxygen to our blood so that oxygen can be carried to

all of our organs.

Heart

The heart pumps our blood throughout our body.

Liver

The liver helps to regulate the chemical composition of blood and creates bile.

Kidneys

The kidneys release various hormones into our body. This helps our body to

function.

Bladder

The bladder helps get rid of our body’s liquid waste.

How to Apply in a Classroom

Media always aids in engaging students. I would hand out a organizer and tell students to follow along with the presentation. As you can see, all of the images (except for the beating heart) show exactly where they are located in the body. This will allow students to label where they are located. Also there is a description of what each part does. Students will be able to gain that information from this presentation as well.
