Taskstream is a customizable electronic portfolio, assessment management
and performance based instructional system.
Taskstream offers TWO TOOLS to facilitate portfolio management and experiences for students, faculty and staff.
1. Taskstream uses Learning Achievement Tools (LAT) a cloud-based electronic portfolio platform used for assessment management and reporting, showcase programs and student portfolios by highlighting development, learning and achievements.
2. Taskstream also uses Directed Response Folio (DRF) Programs to facilitate portfolio activities in each education program. The tool will assist students to assemble and upload work to satisfy program and state requirements which are aligned with learning outcomes and are used to assess each student submission and evaluated by assigned evaluators.

WHAT IS TASKSTREAM
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Students are subscribed as AUTHORS and are responsible for submitting their work for
assessment and accreditation.
• Faculty, Staff, Cooperative Teachers and Supervisors are subscribed as EVALUATORS
and are responsible for providing assessment and meeting accreditation requirements.
Refer to course syllabus for additional information on assignment and assessment
requirements.
Taskstream is designed to enroll subscribers as AUTHORS or EVALUATORS.
• As a new subscriber to Taskstream, you will receive a Welcome to Taskstream email from Watermark stating
your new account has successfully been created.
The email will contain your LOGIN (USERNAME) to be used to sign in. Your USERNAME can
not be changed.
o If you haven’t received any emails please contact the Education Assessment Coordinator, Maria
Montaperto at maria.montaperto@wagner.edu.

• The Welcome to Taskstream email will also have a direct link to create your PASSWORD for your account.

o This link is time limited and will expire after 24 hours of receiving the email.
o If your link expires, contact the Assessment Coordinator, Maria Montaperto at

• PERSONALIZED YOUR PASSWORD section:
Create your PASSWORD in the New Password
field and re-enter password in the Re-enter New field

• The HOMEPAGE is divided into THREE main sections:
1. Top of the HOMEPAGE
o Contains navigation and account-related links, such as Username, access to My Account, Instant Messenger, Online Help, Logout.
2. Main section of your HOMEPAGE
o Displays ONLY the DRF Programs you are enrolled in
o DRF Programs will be displayed under the EVALUATOR tab
o Each program will be named by year, term and program
Each term will have new uploads and evaluations
3. Right side of your HOMEPAGE
o provides quick access to Taskstream work and some informational material.

WHAT’S ON TASKSTREAM HOMEPAGE
• The Evaluation tab will display all the DRF PROGRAMS
set up for your account. Select Customize Display to view
DRF PROGRAMS as TILES or LIST.
As an EVALUATOR, you will be enrolled in the same DRF
PROGRAMS as your students.
DRF PROGRAMS are titled by academic term year, semester
and program name.
Each semester, a new DRF PROGRAM for the term will be
added to the HOMEPAGE.

Student Teaching Placement 1 & Placement 2
The Student Teaching Agreement and Schedule and Time Sheet forms are required to be completed
during the Student Teaching Clinical Practice
WHAT FORMS NEED TO BE COMPLETED
• During the Student Teaching Placement Orientation, student
teachers received the Student Teaching Agreement and
Schedule and Time Sheets forms to be completed for each
placement.
GREEN forms are used for PLACEMENT 1
BLUE forms are used for PLACEMENT 2
• These forms are used to collect information and used to
create accounts and/or give Cooperating Teachers and
Supervisors access to complete student teacher evaluations
in Taskstream DRF Programs.
Cooperating Teacher(s) and Supervisor are required
to follow the observation schedule on these forms.
Complete all forms and confirm emails (Department
of Education or School email will ONLY be accepted. NO
PERSONAL EMAILS)
Email address must be an active account
Cooperating Teachers and Supervisors agree to
complete evaluations for their student teachers during each placement

As the EVALUATOR…
• You have agreed to observe and assess student
teachers during clinical practice PLACEMENT 1
“and/or” PLACEMENT 2.
• The Student Teaching Agreement and Schedule
form will provide a schedule when to observe and
complete a final observation in Taskstream.
The GREEN schedule is used during weeks 1-7
The BLUE schedule is used during weeks 8-14

Each Cooperating Teacher will be required to complete
2 FINAL OBSERVATIONS EACH during the 7-week Student Teaching Placement
WHAT NEEDS TO BE EVALUATED
As the Cooperating Teacher EVALUATOR, the Education program your student teacher is enrolled will determine which of the following assessments needs to be completed.
• Both the General Education and Special Education Cooperating Teachers Grades 1-6, 7-12 complete:
The Professional Indicators
• In addition to the above assessment, both Cooperating Teachers will ALSO complete ONE of the following assessments:
General Education
o CEDU Undergraduate Student Teaching Observations – Grades 1-6
o GCE Graduate Student Teaching Observations – Grades 1-6
o GAE Graduate Adolescent Student Teaching Observation – Grades 7-12
Special Education
o CEDU Undergraduate Student Teaching Observations – Grades 1-6 – Special Education
o GCE Graduate Student Teaching Observations – Grades 1-6 – Special Education
o GAE Graduate Adolescent Student Teaching Observation – Grades 7-12 content area (Math, English, Social Studies, Science, or Foreign Language)

Supervisors will be required to complete
4 FINAL OBSERVATIONS during the 14-Week Student Teaching Placements

As the Supervisor EVALUATOR, the Education program your student teacher is enrolled in will determine which of the following assessments needs to be completed.
• GRADES 1-6
o CEDU Supervisor’s Observation 1, 2, 3 & 4
o GCE Supervisor’s Observation 1, 2, 3 & 4
• GRADES 7-12
o GAE NCTC Supervisor’s Observation 1, 2, 3 & 4
o GAE NCTE Supervisor’s Observation 1, 2, 3 & 4
o GAE NSTA Supervisor’s Observation 1, 2, 3 & 4
o GAE NCSS Supervisor’s Observation 1, 2, 3 & 4
o GAE ACTFL Supervisor’s Observation 1, 2, 3 & 4

HOW TO SEARCH FOR A STUDENT TEACHER
• As soon as you log into Taskstream, you will be brought to the Homepage to begin the evaluation process.
Under the Work on a program section
o PROGRAMS are displayed YEAR, TERM AND EDUCATION PROGRAM NAME DESCRIPTION.
Select Program
EXAMPLES:
Undergraduate/Graduate Programs
o 2019 Fall CEDU Undergraduate Childhood Education - Grades 1-6
o 2019 Fall GCE Graduate Childhood Education - Grades 1-6
o 2019 Fall GAE Graduate Adolescent Education – All General - Grades 7-12
Graduate Content Programs:
o 2019 Fall GAE Graduate Adolescent Education English (NCTE) - Grades 7-12
o 2019 Fall GAE Graduate Adolescent Education Math (NCTM) - Grades 7-12
o 2019 Fall GAE Graduate Adolescent Education Social Studies (NCSS) - Grades 7-12

HOW TO SEARCH FOR A STUDENT TEACHER
• The Search Screen appears with a list of available categories assigned for evaluation.

Search for an INDIVIDUAL Student TO EVALUATE: First or Last Name, or Full Name
o Go to Search field and type in name in ENTRY BOX
o Enter student name
Example: Maria Monte
o Select SEARCH button
The selected Folio is displayed for Maria Monte
Select CONTINUE located at the bottom right of screen
OPTION 1
Search for Multiple Students to Evaluate: This is used if you have more than one student to evaluate
o DO NOT enter a name in the ENTRY BOX
o Select SPA – CEDU
o Go straight to the bottom of screen, select CONTINUE
OPTION 2
You have TWO Search Options
• If you selected to search on an INDIVIDUAL STUDENT (author), the search results will display a grid of categories, requirements, and status across the screen for the student to be evaluated.
NOTE: The grid will only display items based on the search criteria previously selected.
Select category “or” scroll towards the right to locate category.
o The LEGEND will indicate the status of each category.

• If you selected to search on MULTIPLE STUDENTS, the grid will display a listing of enrolled students and categories, requirements, and status across screen to be evaluated. However, you will only have access and be able to evaluate your student.
Scroll down and locate your student
Select category “or” scroll across page towards the right to locate category.
o The LEGEND will indicate the status of each category.

HOW TO EVALUATE A STUDENT TEACHER

1) This training will focus on the Multiple Search Option 2- Every student teacher will be evaluated on the basis of a standardize rubric.
• Student teacher names will appear on the left side of the screen.
Scroll to find your student teacher
Scroll across page, to locate category, example: CEDU CEC Undergraduate Childhood Education
EVALUATE buttons are displayed to access assessment for each Student Teacher under every category

2) Click on the EVALUATE button
3) Select the BLUE SCORE WORK button to begin evaluation
o The Evaluate / Score Work (Rubric) screen appears
4) Click on the rubric to view or print
o Select (click) the criteria description (rating) that best describes evaluation.
o Once selected, the area will remain highlighted
If any changes need to be made, select another criteria description (rating).
If there isn’t any criteria description (rating) that applies to the evaluation and if option is available, select the (Not Applicable) N/A button under the score/level.
Enter any comments under each standard question.

5) At the end of the evaluation, GO TO FINAL
SCORE
o Add any additional or a summary of comments
in OVERALL COMMENTS field.
6) Go to bottom of page, NEXT STEPS
o Select Record as Final and release evaluation to
Author (Student Teacher) now
7) Select the SUBMIT EVALUATION NOW button

• You will return to the CEDU UNDERGRADUATE
CHILDHOOD EDUCATION SCREEN
Repeat the steps from pages 1-7 for the next student
teacher.
• If another program needs to be selected, click on
the Taskstream logo located at the top left of screen
to go back to your Homepage.
Select program
• Select the TASKSTREAM located at the top left of page.
Select LOGOUT, located at the top right of screen.
