whose widow was formerly GeorgineAdams of Morgan, took place lastSaturday at Belview. The body wasbrought from the home at Denver,Colo., to this county for burial. Fu-neral services were held at the Nor-wegian Lutheran church at Belview, 1the pastor, Rev. E. A. Fretheim,preaching the sermon. The riteswere military in charge of the Aug-ust Donner Post of the American Le-gion of Belview. Interment was madeat Redwood Falls. Deceased wasbom in Denmark March 1, 1893, mak-ing him thirty-five years old. Hecame to America with his aunt anduncle, Mr. and Mrs. August Freder-icksen of Delhi in 1907 and made hishome with them. He entered theservice and was in France. On June12, 1925, he married Georgine Adams,who survives him. They went to Den-ver after a honeymoon trip to Den-mark and resided there until Mr. Pet-ersen’s death on May Ist. He was a !

1 opera, “The King’s Henchman” was| the main feature of the afternoon’sprogram. Mrs. T. E. Flinn openedthe program by telling something ofthe lives of Edna Vincent Millay andDeens Taylor. Miss Millay wrote thewords of the opera and Mr. Taylorcomposed the music. Miss MarieTolzman reviewed the opera and gave

Mankato will be hostess to severalhundred women, when the annualState Federation of Women’s clubsconvene there on September 19, 20,and 21. Mrs. George Sugden, generalchairman of the executive committee,has called the committee together forgeneral discussion as to ways andmeans for financing the project. OnMay 18 a benefit movie will be stag-ed at one of the Mankato theatresand a high-class production will beshown, the proceeds of which will beused to defray the expenses incurredduring the state convention. Manylocal club women will attend the ses-sions of the state meeting.

The body of Mrs. Laura Bergesonthat has been in a receiving vault inMinneapolis since her death JanuaryIst, 1928, was brought to SanbornWednesday of last week, May 2nd,for interment, which service tookplace the afternoon of that day, andwas in the city cemetery. There wereno services at the church, and the ser-vice at the grave was conducted byRev. Bruns of Sanborn. Mrs. C. F.Schwieger, Mrs. A. R. Furch, Mrs.George Gowin, Mrs. L. L. Blackmun,Mrs. F. M.
