Fish River Greenway/10th Mountain Club Project

A collaborative effort of the Fort Kent Pedestrian Committee and the 10th Mountain Club to improve and create new trails. With monies from the Maine Recreational Trail Grant, the Davis Conservation Foundation and the Betterment Fund; informational kiosks were installed at three locations. A new walking path was created and widen. At 10 th Mountain Club; seven miles of trails are being redirected and or widen.

Continuation and expansion of the Island Trail

With this extension, the Island Trail now connects to the Block House Picnic/Campground by passing

Along the river bank behind Quigley’s lumber yard and the side of the Block House.

Continuation and expansion of the Riverside Park North Trail

Future site of a Boy Scout Project: installing a covered picnic table

With this extension, the Riverside Park North Trail now connects to the Fish River by passing

Along the river bank on the side and back side of Acadia Federal Credit Union with a covered picnic table.
