Principal’s Report Congratulations
Congratulations to Helen Murphy who has successfully gained the position of Acting Principal at Cranbourne Park
Primary School for Term 3. This is a wonderful opportunity for Helen and we wish her all the best as she takes on
this new role.
Reminder
Just a reminder to all parents that students need to be in correct uniform while attending school. Hair needs to be tied back if it touches the shoulders and hair ornaments need to be in blue only. Socks are white and tracksuit bottoms are not to be worn with winter or summer dresses. If you have any queries about our uniform please send the question to your teacher. We are going to have a uniform inspection later in the week. No dogs are allowed to be in the school grounds. Late or early pickup of children are to be checked into or out of the school through the front office door by ringing the bell on the left hand side. Please let your classroom teacher know that you wish to pick up a child early so they will be waiting for you.

Nurlendi Road
We have been contacted by the Whitehorse City Council that they are upgrading the service lane in Canterbury Rd
and this will involve the closing of the Nurlendi Rd entrance from Canterbury Rd at some time in the future. We do
not have a date as yet but this will impact the dropping off and picking up of students.
Engagement and Wellbeing The Fathering Project
The first Dads and Kids activity has been arranged for Sunday 21st June at 3:00pm.
Dads and Daughters Hair Styling (via Zoom) Join one of our school mums, Dani Simpson, as she joins us from her salon Tantrum Hair Design and
demonstrates how to properly brush, style and help care for your daughter’s (or son’s) hair. Throughout the
session, Dani will be able to answer your questions.
This is an activity for dads and kids to attend together.
What you need to do?
Register, join the call and be ready to style your daughter’s (or son’s) hair during the session!
Join the session via Zoom (please register at https://www.trybooking.com/BJUAG)
Most of us have no clue about styling hair, but for our daughters (and some sons) it can be a big part of their
personality. We can’t wait to see all the fantastic hair styles via Zoom and perhaps even offer a prize or two to the
best stylists!!

Vermont Primary School Curriculum Semester One Reports Your child’s Semester One Report will be published to Sentral by 12pm on Friday 19th June. Please email the office staff or Helen Murphy if you require assistance accessing Sentral. Some families have reported they are not receiving an email when they select Forgot Password. If you are having difficulties, we are able to change your password at School. Parent Teacher Meetings
Parent Teacher Meetings will be held on Monday 27th July and Tuesday 28th July from 3.45pm until 8.30pm. The
purpose of these meetings is to discuss the Semester 1 Report that you will receive on Friday 19th June and to
collaboratively discuss your child’s education moving forward.
These meetings will be held online as we still have restrictions in place which means we cannot host parents and
carers onsite. We will conduct all Parent Teacher Meetings using Zoom, with a link being provided to you by your
classroom teacher before the scheduled meeting. This will enable you to enter into a virtual meeting room at the
3
time you have specified and you can meet with your child’s teacher from the comfort of your home or workplace. It
also means, where possible, more than 1 parent or carer can attend if they are in different locations.
If you have any questions about this process, please email Helen Murphy at Helen.Murphy@education.vic.gov.au
or contact your child’s teacher via email.
Booking an Appointment to see a Specialist Teacher
As there are limited spaces available to meet with the specialist teachers, please book a time if you are
concerned about your child’s progress or have any questions the classroom teacher is unable to answer about
your child. Please email the Specialist Teachers directly with 3 or 4 times you are available, if you would like to
meet with them online. You are also welcome to email them if you have any questions or concerns that can be
answered with a reply.
