Using Adobe Connect

As a participant

• Download the participants guide from the Adobe site

• If this is your first time using web conferencing you might also find it useful to watch the demo (once the page is loaded you will need to click on ‘see the demo’ button)

• Once you are ready to connect plug in your USB Headset with microphone

• Adobe offers a test facility – if this is your first time click here to start the test

• When you are ready to commence your web meeting open the Adobe room

• http://webconf.det.nsw.edu.au/nswinnovations/

• Log in as a Guest and click ‘Enter Room’

• Remember: It is recommended that you test your equipment and the room every time you access it

• Start by checking your connection speed

• Next check your sound

• Click Next at the welcome screen and every other screen when your task is finished

• Click on the test button to hear sound coming through your speakers

You should see

a green line as

the sound plays

• Click on the down arrow to select your headset

• Now record your voice by clicking on record and speaking into the microphone

As you speakthe green bar willmove to indicateyour speakersare working correctly

• Click Test Silence and then when finished click Next

• Your testing is complete, click Finish
