Qur’an

The Incorrect Understanding of Fate and Kismet

Allah (God) Almighty knows whether you are inclined to do good or evil Many people understood from this that your life is

predestined (i.e. that in a specific moment at a specific place you are destined to do a certain thing)

This means that your life is running according to a program

Allah (God) does not command what is evil

Thus how did the Almighty command you to do evil?

What is the Responsibility that Allah (God) Almighty

bestowed upon People?

In The Name of Allah (God) The Most Compassionate The Most Merciful

Truly, Allah (God) did offer Al Amânah (The responsibility) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they declined to bear

it and were afraid of it. But man bore it. Verily, he was unjust (to himself) and ignorant

(of its results)The Noble Qur’an (33: 72)

The responsibility that Allah (God) offered to

His creation Was the ability to make

decisions and to bear their consequences

In The Name of Allah (God) The Most Compassionate The Most Merciful

And indeed Allah (God) has honored the Children of Adam, and carried them on land

and sea, and has provided them with At-Taiyibât (lawful good things), and has

preferred them above many of those whom Allah (God) has created with a marked

preference.The Noble Qur’an (17: 70)

How did Allah (God) prefer people to other creatures? By giving them the ability to make

decisions

Such that a person can have the reward given to prophets if he or she makes decisions pleasing to Allah (God) Almighty

Then Allah (God) made you follow after them, generations after generations in the land, that

Allah (God) might see how you would work!

The Noble Qur’an (10: 14)

The implications of giving people the ability

to make decisions is:That the final outcome is not

pre-written but is made according to the decisions a

person makes in his or her life

Question:How does Allah (God) Almighty

know whether a person is inclined to do good or evil?

The answer can be known upon pondering upon the verses of the Noble Qur’an

In The Name of Allah (God) The Most Compassionate The Most Merciful

They will say: "Our Lord! You have made us to die twice, and You have given us life twice Now we

confess our sins, then is there any way to get out (of the Fire)?"

The Noble Qur’an (40: 11)

Die twice People know the death at the end of this life, so what is the second death stated

in the Qur’anic verse?

The first death is the death of the souls Allah (God) Almighty

created prior to the creation of the physical bodies of humans

Allah (God) Almighty tested the souls of humans prior to their

integration into the bodies that will contain them. And from this test

Allah (God) knew whether a person is inclined to do good or

evil

In The Name of Allah (God) The Most Compassionate The Most Merciful

And (remember) when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed and made them testify as to themselves (saying): "Am I

not your Lord?" They said: "Yes! We testify," lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: "Verily, we

have been unaware of this."

The Noble Qur’an (7: 172)

Allah (God) Almighty made the souls to testify that Allah

(God) is their LordThis means that the soul of a person thinks, ponders, and

remembers

This is the Scientific Mechanism by which Allah (God) Almighty knows Whether a Person is inclined to do

Good or Evil

Examples from The Noble Qur’an

In The Name of Allah (God) The Most Compassionate The Most Merciful

80. "And as for the boy, his parents were believers, and we feared lest he should oppress them by

rebellion and disbelief.81. "So we intended that their Lord should change

him for them for one better in righteousness and near to mercy.

The Noble Qur’an (18: 80-81)

Why did Allah (God) Almighty state that He and the righteous servant

feared that the boy would oppress his parents by rebellion and disbelief?

1. Allah (God) Almighty teaches us from this that the final outcome (Heaven or Hell) is not prewritten, because if it was prewritten Allah (God) would not have used the word (feared)

2. The manner by which Allah (God) Almighty knew that the boy would be closer

to disbelief is by the result of the spiritual test of the soul of the boy prior to this life

"It may be that your Lord may show mercy unto you, but if you return, Allah (God) shall return (to Our

Punishment). And Allah (God) has made Hell a prison for the disbelievers.

The Noble Qur’an (17: 8)

Another proof from the book of Allah (God) which testifies that the final

outcome of a person (i.e. Heaven or Hell) is not predetermined.

Allah (God) states that if the Jews would refrain from doing the deeds displeasing to

Allah (God) then He would stop their punishment in this life.

Thus the final outcome (Heaven or Hell) is not prewritten but is made by the decisions

people take in this life.

The Truth Regarding Fate and Kismet

A person is predestined in four matters and has the freewill in all other matters

A person is predestined in life, death, sickness, and health

Has the freewill in all other matters
