TSAWWASSEN TO HIGHWAY 99 ACCESS OPTIONS
When the South Fraser Perimeter Road is complete in December 2013, residents of Tsawwassen will have two choices for access to and from the George Massey Tunnel and North Delta:
ROUTE A SFPR (New Highway 17)
A slightly longer route, but quicker due to additional lanes, faster moving traf�c and no traf�c signals.The routing is as follows (see map for details).
ROUTE B Highway 17A (through Ladner)
A slightly shorter but slower route due to the traf�c signal at Ladner Trunk Road – with no competing with commercial trucks for road space. The routing is as follows (see map for details).
Access Highway 17 from 56 Street asper today.
Continue along Highway 17 as it shiftseast to the new alignment.
Exit using the new 2-lane off ramp to Highway 99 North.
These two lanes continue along Highway 99 until the Highway 17A interchange and are barrier-separated from Highway 99 traf�c.
Highway 17 traf�c merges with Highway 99 traf�c as per today.
HOV traf�c can access the queue jumper lane to the tunnel at the Highway 17A interchange as per today.
Access Highway 17 from 56 Street as per today.
Exit Highway 17 using the one-lane off-ramp to Highway 17A North.
Continue along Highway 17A, which becomes two lanes after 34b Avenue.
Ladner Trunk Road will remain.
North of Ladner Trunk Road, follow road signs that will indicate one right lane for exit to Highway 99, and one through lane to River Road. The HOV queue jumper ramp will remain.
Follow the Highway 99 access lane, which merges with Highway 17 through to the George Massey Tunnel.
