Where do we start?

• At first, focus is on the tool– Sessions on cool tools– Array of possibilities

• Where should the focus be?– First on the learning outcome– Second on the learners– Then the tools

Pressure to Individualize

• Lots of focus on:– individualizing learning– meeting all the students needs

• Is this possible? Yes, but it isn’t the easy way– pressures of teaching– pressure to be ready

• Security in the known

The Answer….Maybe

• Projects and assignments that can have multiple outcomes with the learning in tact

• Sounds hard• It is, but it is worth it…

• Standards, benchmarks, GLCE’s, HSCE’s etc

• What is the target? How will I know if they know it?
