Wednesday Night Women's Bible Study
Starting September 14th, Westwood will be offering the bible study called Seamless, "Understanding the Bible As One Complete Story" by Angie Smith. Seamless covers the people, places and promises of the Bible, tying them together into the greater story of Scripture. Each week of study features key information that ties all of scripture together into the seamless truth of the gospel message. This is a 7 week video based study. We will meet from 6:30-7:30pm in Room 200. If you would like to participate in this study, please sign up on the bulletin board in Hall A or contact Pam White @ pwhite205@gmail.com
Christmas Is Coming! The Westwood Choir has begun work on Christmas Canticles. Now is an excellent time to join the choir and get in on preparing and presenting this appealing work and other seasonal music to be presented in the worship services during December. Christmas Canticles consists of four short suites of carols and scriptures that depict four of the themes of Advent-Christmas worship. The familiar and lesser-known carols range in mood from exuberant joy to quiet meditation and are a delight to sing and to hear. Singers are needed in each section. Please contact Rev. Webb for more details or simply attend the next rehearsal.
Each year the Raleigh Baptist Association sponsors the NC State Fair Ministry for the benefit of the carnival workers. We at Westwood take part in the Food Drive collection area of this ministry. Westwood will be collecting the
following items until Wed, October 5th. Table set up in the foyer. Ex: Canned Potatoes, Sweet Sue brand (only) Chicken & Dumplings, Cream of Potato Soup, Cream of Celery Soup, Baked Beans, Canned Mixed Vegetables, Chili and Beans, Canned Chicken, Corn, Lima Beans, Black Beans, Southwestern Chicken Tortilla Soup, Creamy Peanut Butter, Grape Jam.
