BOAT RAMPSWaikerie has four very good boat ramps. Two

are located on the Waikerie riverfront and are

easily accessible for caravan park visitors and

tourists. Holder Bend and Ramco Apex Park also

have modern cement ramps and post houseboat

moorings.

CAMPING ON THE RIVERBANKSLowbank, Maize Island, Holder Bend, Ramco

Point, Hogwash Bend. No facilities are provided

as camping is free. Please be environmentally

friendly & take home or dispose correctly of all

wastes. Bring own or purchase fi rewood - do not

chop down ANY trees, dead or alive.

PICNIC AREAS… BROKEN CLIFFS Situated on the Northern side of the River, Broken

Cliffs represents a fi ne example of the cliff face.

Great picnic and camping spot - if the fi sh are

biting you are sure to get a few.

HOGWASH BENDNear Qualco, a lovely spot for the kids to

experience the River and Sandbars with sandy

beach-like River frontage and safer swimming

areas. A rubble boat ramp nearby makes this an

ideal FAMILY camping and boating location.

NO Motorbikes or Buggies allowed as this is a

protected area.

HOLDER BEND Ideal for Motor Homes & Caravans. River

frontage, boat ramp, some shady areas. Easily

accessible, close to township. No Facilities as

camping is free. 7 day camping limit.

LIONS PIONEER RIVERFRONT PARK- ADJACENT TO THE FERRY

Beautiful large lawned areas, shady trees,

shelters, free barbeques, play equipment,

boat ramps, and toilets. Plentiful parking. Post

houseboat moorings. Safer swimming in the

enclosed compound. Excellent location for

outdoor gatherings under the ‘Lion’s shelter’.
