Introduction

In the seventeenth century, England sufferred two horrible disasters: the bubonic plague, in 1665, and „The Great Fire”, in 1666.

The plague

Victims skin was getting black, the glands were getting swell, and they were having unbearable headache.

The recording of deaths

The Great Plague killed an estimated 100,000 people, almost a quarter of London's population.

It was caused by a bacteria which was transmitted by rats and fleas.

There ware some cures against the plague like covering the airways with some flowers.
