The Fuzzerly Fuzzball Written and illustrated by:

Oswald Campbell

His eyeballs poked out from his blue fuzzy head.

He blinked and he yawned,

as I fell off my bed.

So waking him up,

He coughed then he said...

“Oh my! Are you hurt?”

Did that fall cause you pain?

You will have to stop jumping

Or you’ll fall down again!”

!

I first shook my head, but then I agreed.

For a friend who likes safety is a good

friend indeed.

“My name is Fuzzball!”

He said with a grin.

“That fall you just fell made a terrible

din!”

He asked about Mommy,

He said “have you seen her?”

He was awfully worried about Moms

vacuum cleaner!

Vacuums eat fuzz balls!

When they hum and they bing.

A vacuum to a fuzz ball is a terrible

thing!

“Don’t worry I’ll save you!”

I said to my friend.

So I started to hide him from a horrible

end.

Many days I did hide him, through thick

and through thin, and Mom never found him in the place he was in.

Until She opened...

My sock drawer!

She gave it a whirr, the lint and the dust

started to stir!

Up went buttons and pebbles and dirty stuff all, and up in

the vacuum flew poor old Fuzzball!

I felt so sorry for that poor little guy.

I moaned and I groaned and I started

to cry.

But then very soon my tears disappeared,

because the full vacuum had to be

cleared.

Out popped my Fuzzball!

I looked twice and then, out popped some more, soon there were ten!

I was so relieved and over my fright. To see

my friend Fuzzball, Oh! What a sight!

“Hey Buddy!” said Fuzzball. “Don’t

worry about me. I’m with other fuzzballs... We’re all friends you

see!”

“So into the trash can we go with a flip!

So see you later! We’re gone on a trip!”

The End.
