I enjoy going to Jazzercise to exercise to music. There were 200 crazy folks who did a half-time routine during the Wizards basketball game. I can’t believe I did it!

Steph enjoys her many friends. She is now living about 30 minutes away in Arlington, VA.

Steph works for a non-profit called The Reading Connection. She coordinates about 150 volunteers who read to kids in 12 different shelters. She also trains the volunteers, works with the Spanish-speaking preschool group, and helps collect the books to give to the children.

Ultimate frisbee

Steph’s year in Argentina introduced her to salsa dancing which she continues to do in Virginia. She will be returning to Argentina to visit friends in November.

Laura is working at Dish HD, a satellite TV company, in Taiwan. She helps acquire and launch new channels for the service. She really enjoys learning new things and exploring the area. Laura is learning the basics of Mandarin, but communicates in English for the most part.

Laura was able to travel to China and see some amazing sights. She has a Taiwanese friend who is a good cook and they experimented with authentic Chinese cooking in her apartment in Taipei, Taiwan.

Laura plays a lot of ultimate frisbee. She travels to different countries around Asia for tournaments, sight-seeing where ever she goes.

Their 60th anniversary at Timberline Lodge near Mt. Hood in Oregon

Bill and Ruth 7-20119-11 Dad is now in rehab recovering from a fall. No broken bones. Mom has had back pain for years. The previous remedies are no longer effective. They are trying to stay in their home of 48 years in San Mateo, CA.
