• Highest ambient temperature during test period -24.1°C

• Lowest ambient temperature during test period -12.6°C

• Indoor refrigeration required temperatures 0°C to 6.7°C

Measurement Detail

• Test system – 30kw 3-stage Process Cooling plant• Data taken post SolarCool installation starting 21st August through

21st September 2014• The test site encountered huge weather fluctuations throughout the

measured period. This is not unusual for this part of the world during this time of year.

The following graphs are screen shots taken directly from the 3-phase electricity monitoring system installed at the following site. The system is attached to the outdoor SolarCool refrigeration unit, cooling 23meters of indoor open deck refrigeration:.

It is a well know fact that the average retail refrigeration system will run considerably more efficient in lower ambient temperatures.

Nightfall being a good example of this in the UK summer months. In addition to the obvious ambient temperature reductions, as in most cases (test site included) lower consumer impact on the air curtain system employed by such systems also lowers the energy consumption.

However when the sun is out, SolarCool’s energy saving capabilities are clearly demonstrated in the following graphs. Ambient temperatures and consumer throughput are at there highest in the daytime hours . Although the impact of SolarCool’s benefits are clear throughout, Sunday 24th and Thursday 28th August are almost perfect examples when compared to nightfall usage - Completely the opposite of what the experienced & educated in this industry would expect to see.

- denotes sundown or sunlight no longer available to the SolarCool system.
