IntroThe Family Araucaria Tree is an educational memento that children can use

with their family. The activities that they complete help them learn about their local environment together, which serves doubly as a bonding experience.

There are fifteen weeks included in the experience. The child and parents pull off a seed packet or care packet each week and complete a mission noted on the card.After a packet is removed, the string can be removed, and the clip can be used to hold pictures of progress the family takes of their garden. The inside tree will become full of foliage and memories at the end.

CMFWe chose to use recycled laser-cut wood and wood dowels for the material

for our product. It will be cost effective, easy to manufacture, and cheap to ship. The color will be white so that it be modern and can match any home. The paper will be seed paper, which is paper that can be planted as fertilizer and seeds in a garden.

NameOur products’ name, Family Araucaria Tree, was inspired by the “Family Tree”,

or the map of ancestors a person has. It was also based on the legend of the Azure Jay; the tree that the Jay plants is named an Araucaria Tree.

Distribution StrategyThe product will be sold in a box in the form of many pieces to be assembled

by the child and parent. It can be sold in a book store, a nursery store, or in the educational toy section of a store. The product and its lessons are truly global, so it can be sold in almost any market as children’s books and doll.
