Legal The Older Persons’ Legal Service(OPLS) provides legal advice, referral,limited assistance and education forfinancially and socially disadvantagedolder people in New South Wales
OPLS is a partnership with, and funded by,Legal Aid NSW
The service includes advice about:

i Human rights
i Limited Social Security
i Power of Attorney
i Guardianship
Retirement VillagesTARS provides advocacy and caseworkto the residents of self care units andserviced apartments arising from theRetirement Villages Act 1999 (NSW)
Education andPromotion ServiceProvides education and information on:
i Advocacy services offered by TARS
i Legal services offered by OPLS
i A comparison between aged carehomes and retirement villages
to the following groups:
i Residents, relatives and staff of agedcare homes
i Carer groups
i Residents of retirement villages
i Seniors’ groups
i Retirees
i Professional groups
i Community workers
i Students and educators of aged careand welfare courses
i Staff of organisations dealing withissues affecting older people
