Thenewstyles,calledUrbanInlinerestaurantsandCantinas(theonlydifferenceisthatCantinasservealcohol),havelargerandmorearchitecturallyappealinginteriors,andnodrivethroughwindows.AccordingtoChristinaHernandez,aTacoBellin-housebrandarchitect,thesenewlocations,“focusonbringingcustomersoutofthedrivethroughandinsidetherestaurant.”TheynotonlyhavegreaterseatingspacethanmanyoldTacoBells,butofferanenvironmentwithstyleandvisualinterest.Theyfeature“localizeddesignsandartwork,anopenkitchen,digitalmenuboards,anda"ShareableMenu”withuniquemenuitemsnotfoundatyourregularTacoBell.”
TacoBellhasdebutedfournewdesignconcepts.Thesenewrestaurantstylesarebeingrolledoutacrossthecountry,buteachwasinitiallylaunchedinSouthernCalifornia.OnearchitecturalenhancementthatunifiesthefourdesignsareceilingsmadeofCeilumethermoformedpanels.
