Survey of R04

1. The main goals of 2004 data taking are precise R measurement and QCD studying.

2. Data taking time is about 64 days.

3. Data were taken at 3.07, 2.60, 2.20GeV.

4. Online data stat. VS. offline data stat.

BES Stability

Bhabha events:

• momentum-p VS. IIRUN

• deposited energy-ESUM VS. IIRUN

• dE/dx pulse height-PHMP8 VS. IIRUN

• modified dE/dx pulse height-PHMP11 VS. IIRUN

3.07 2.60 2.20

Brief Summary for Stability• The distributions of momentum and energy of

Bhabha events are fairly flat.

• Besides small fluctuations, the distribution of PHMP8 is flat too, and after offline modified, PHMP11 distribution is much flatter.

• These figures indicate that MDC and BSC are in good status during data taking.

MDC Information

• Track fit quality—MFIT

• Vertex resolution

• Momentum resolution

• dE/dx resolution

• θ, Φ distribution

MFIT-3.07

Distribution of vertex of hadronic events on r-Φ, r-z. The data with MFIT -19 won’t be used in physical analysis.

Conclusion for data quality check

• As a whole, the detector is in good status during data taking.

• We have large data sample at 3.07, 2.60 and 2.20GeV.

• The data is of high reliability and quality.
