Bring the Gold Coast into any surfing conversation and surfers across the globe will instantly think of Snapper Rocks, not surprisingly the area's most famous surf break. But just further south across the border into

New South Wales lies Duranbah Beach – known by the locals simply as D'bah – and here you will find consistant surf whatever the conditions, owing to its prized position between Point Danger and the Tweed River

entrance. No surprise then that some of the Gold Coast's best surfers, such as Mitch Crews and Jack Freestone, live just up Flagstaff Beach Road

looking down on this less well known golden gem. We caught up with Jack and the local crew over the Easter weekend to see what D'bah has

to offer plus thanks to local 'Waves Gallery' photographer, Anthony Mansfield have compiled this pictorial guide to Dee Golden 'Bah.

Next IssueAnd so once again we come to the end of another month's fix of inspirational surfing photography. Despite being jam packed with gems from down

under, we've decided that one issue simply doesn't do justice to everthing that Australia has to offer.

So in Issue Seventeen we're heading to Sydney's surfing scene – its Northern Beaches such as Manly and Narrabeen. And there, once again we will bring you all the best in up and coming talent. But as well

as all that, we're bunking off to Bali too with two intrepid travellers from opposite sides of the globe!

So don't miss the next epic issue of SURPHANG!
