Conrad's  teacher,  who  knows  him  well,  asks  him,  "Would  you  like  to  help  me  build  something  for  today's  lesson?"    Surprised,  Conrad  gives

a  teacher  a  smile  and  nods  his  head.

Here  come  some  of  my  favorite  parts!

Conrad  is  confused  when  the  teacher  asks,  "Name  for  me  some  people,  places,  or  things-‐-‐all  subjects  that  we  like  to  talk  about."

Conrad  is  so  excited  by  what  his  peers  are  saying.    He  chooses  rollercoasters.

Good  choice!

The  teacher  asks  for  a  person  who  will  be  on  the  rollercoaster.

Insert  picture  of  students  raising  hands

"Good,"  says  the  teacher,  "now  that  we  chose  Cindy,  what  will  Cindy  do  on  the  rollercoaster?"

Insert  a  picture  of  Conrad  thinking  of  Cindy  and

a  rollercoaster...math  equa5on?

What  do  people  do  on

rollercoasters?

"Good  choice,  Conrad!    Cindy  will  ride  the  rollercoaster."

thoughts/on  blackboard?)

I  think  we  can  make  this  sentence  more

exci>ng!

The  teacher  asks,  "Describe  Cindy  as  she  rides  the  rollercoaster."

Insert  picture  of  adjec5ves  (wordle)

"Good,  so  Conrad,  build  the  sentence:  Scared  Cindy  rides  rollercoasters."

"Good,  now  how  can  we  describe  the  rollercoaster?"

 Insert  picture  of  more  adjec5ves

You  can  never  have  enough!
